Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a civil project in Stratford, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The Town of Stratford is accepting tenders from qualified contractors for parking lot re-surfacing, the construction of a new 1.8m x 110m paved shoulder, and the paving of 35m of existing gravel trail at the Stratford Town Centre, located at 234 Shakespeare Drive, in Stratford. 1. Contractor to construct new paved shoulder 1.8m wide x approximately 110m in total length. 2. Termination point of paved shoulder at Cenotaph to be staked by the Town before work begins. 3. Existing grades and slopes to be maintained unless otherwise noted. 4. Remove all root mat, organics, topsoil, and existing burden as required to install 300mm of select borrow, 150mm of class A gravel, and 60mm of asphalt B seal mix. 5. Proof-roll bottom of exposed excavation and remove any soft or deformable areas and replace with compacted structural fill in consultation with Town representative. 6. Place select borrow in 300mm lifts compacted to 100% standard proctor dry density to build grade up to the requirements of the site. Sub-base grade and shape must allow for adequate drainage of stormwater. 7. Place 150mm of compacted Class A gravel over sub-base material. Top of granular base layer shall be graded such that asphalt seal layer forms seamless transition with Area 1 and Area 3. 8. Place 60mm of asphalt B seal mix
