For installation of Superpave 9.5 mm wearing course material on various roads (approximately 1,582 SY, Base Bid and 25,886 TN, Alternate Bids) pavement marking, and miscellaneous work. Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of at least (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Township; The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of One Hundred per-cent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate sure-ty licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by the Township, in accordance with bid specifications. Bidder must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor Township. West Rockhill Township reserves the un-qualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities. The contractor proposes to furnish all materials (including Form CS-4171, Certificate of Compliance and Form TR-465, Daily Bituminous Mixture Certification) and to do and perform all work on the following project as more specifically set forth in the Schedule of Prices (Proposal & Contract Attachment #1), as well as the supplements and technical specifications/special provisions contained herein and/or attached hereto and current PennDOT specifications (Publication 408), except Volumetric testing of bituminous paving materials is not required (Sec. 409). Contractor will provide labor, equipment and material for installation of base repairs, and 9.5 mm Superpave Asphalt wearing course overlay mixture design at 1 1/2 inches depth (as directed); including pavement marking as directed. Contractor is responsible for milling at all paving joints including intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways; and seam sealing at intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways. Contractor is responsible for sweeping, tack coat, and traffic control. Township must be notified a minimum of five (5) working days prior to start of work. All work must be performed as directed by the Township.
