Site work for a mixed-use development in Concord, California. Completed plans call for site work for a clubhouse / community center; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of the following: Demolish and Remove (2) Existing Boilers and Piping below ceiling, Demolish and Remove Existing Circulating Pumps, Expansion Tank, Chemical Feeder and Air Separator, Procure and Install (2) New High Efficiency Boilers and Pumps and (1) Expansion Tank, Chemical Feeder and Air Separator, Install New Isolation Valves for Circulation Pumps and Air Separator, Install New Electronic Valves for each Boiler, Install New Piping and Isolation Valves below ceiling for 3 zones, Insulate all Piping, Provide BACNET Card for Boiler BMS Control Capability Factory Startup and Test, Confirm Proper Boiler Online System Operation and Cleanup Work Area, providing required submittals, testing results, final testing and cleanup, attending weekly meetings, providing schedules, and coordinating with other projects or events ongoing at the Senior Center. This project includes preparatory work and site cleanup daily, and all other work as specified in these Special Provisions, The Project must be fully completed within 20 working days (weekends and holidays excluded) from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed Tuesday, July 9, 2024 By 2:00 PM Deadline for Requests for Information Submit all questions via EMAIL to kevin.wheat@cityofconcord.org Engineer's Estimate is $160,000. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "B" General Building Contractor, Class "C-4" Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting Contractor, Class "C-10 Electrical Contractor", Class "C-20" Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor, Class "C-36" Plumbing Contractor. Further, only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform work or labor or render service under subcontract to the subject contractor. The City Council has ascertained that State of California prevailing wage rates are applicable for this and all City projects. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations.
