This project was not for a specific project but for qualifying engineers for future projects. As of November 5, 2025, the qualified engineers have been selected. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, herein referred to as the "Parish," is accepting proposals/qualification statements for Engineering and Technical Services for Flood Mitigation and Structural Drainage Improvement Projects. The intent of this Request for Qualification, herein referred to as RFQ, is to award an Engineer(s) who will be responsible for providing professional Engineering services for flood mitigation and structural drainage improvement projects that the Parish selects to submit to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Assistance program. The Parish will provide the awarded Engineers(s) with the specific project and the anticipated scope of work, including any additional services (if applicable), for each location once the Parish's project selection process is complete. The Parish reserves the right to award this RFQ to multiple Engineers if it is in the best interest of the Parish. All questions should be submitted in writing no less than seven (7) days prior to the opening of proposals/qualification statements. Questions received within seven (7) days of the opening may not be accepted. Issuance of this RFQ in no way constitutes a commitment by the Parish to award a contract. The Parish reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals/qualification statements submitted or to cancel this RFQ if it is in the best interest of the Parish to do so. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
