The State is issuing this solicitation for the purposes of the Robert F. Sweeney District Court/Multi-Service Center located at 251 Rowe Blvd. Annapolis, MD 21401 which is a 93,400 square foot, 4 story facility. This facility is a District Court which houses multi-tenant state agencies, which is managed under the authority of the Department of General Services, Office of Facilities Management, assistant and an agency of the State of Maryland. The intent of the contract to be awarded is to provide quality janitorial services and cover all janitorial tasks under these specifications. All mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, any areas used exclusively for building maintenance and any garage areas are excluded from this contract. The makeup of this has not been determined at this time. The Office of State Procurement would like to logically break this requirement up to increase the likelihood of being able to designate one or more portions of this requirement as a Small Business Preference (SBP) Procurement, and to allow for the maximum opportunity for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Veteran Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) utilization at both the prime and subcontracting-levels.
