As of October 24, 2024, project is already under construction and it was awarded to Southeastern. The project generally includes all labor, material, and equipment for the construction of a courtroom building. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in an amount no less than 5% of the bid, made payable to the Clay County Board of Commissioners. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a contract performance bond equal to 100% of the contract price and a payment bond equal to 110% of the contract price and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required. It is understood that the contract sum will only increase or decrease by a change in project scope and change order approved by the County. The successful bidder will be notified by the County of acceptance of the bid. The successful bidder must submit an executed contract and certificate of insurance before a Notice to Commence can be issued. Upon receipt of the Notice to Commence, the successful bidder shall begin work with adequate force and equipment within 30 days. A lump sum payment will be made to the contractor upon completion and work has been satisfactorily completed. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, re-advertise and to reduce or add to the contract from time to time.
