The County reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the County that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the Work contemplated therein. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids at its sole discretion. At the time this contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess either a Class A license or a combination of Class C licenses which constitutes a majority of the work The DBE Contract goal is TWELVE percent (12 %) Complete the work within 15 Working Days The estimated cost of the project is $710,000 CONTRACTOR shall, at its sole cost and expense, furnish all facilities, equipment, and other materials necessary for the replacement of the existing guard railing at eight (8) location on Janesville Grade, CR 208, including the removal and disposal of the existing guard railing and installing the new guard railing, to be constructed to widths and lengths, and at the locations as shown on the construction plans. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the County for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. As soon as the qualifications have been received, and the Bid prices compared, the County will return the bonds of all except the three (3) lowest responsible bidders A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the County and authorized to do bonding in California, will be required for faithful performance of the Contract.
