Reference Number 0000273082 The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Consumer Protection and Government Services, Asset Management Division, seeks to select a qualified Contractor to provide as-and-when requested plumbing & heating repair and maintenance services (including all labour, materials, supplies and equipment) for various provincially owned and operated buildings in District 4, primarily within The Pas, Manitoba and surrounding area. Manitoba Consumer Protection and Government Services requires the following inspection, maintenance and repair services to be provided on an as-and-when requested basis: a) The plumbing maintenance service may comprise of but not be limited to the inspection, maintenance, repair and installation of water and waste water lines, fixtures, hot water tanks and their related works including remedial action to clear blocked waste water drains within the building including main sewer lines. b) The heating maintenance service shall comprise of but not be limited to the inspection, maintenance, and repair of hydronic and steam systems including pumps, converters, pneumatic controls, coils, valves, tanks, heating lines, steam traps, steam and condensate lines and their related works. c) All work done on the following systems must be completed by person with a current and valid Quality Control Program registered with the Department of Labour and Immigration. i) High and low pressure steam ii) Hydronic heating systems iii) Air Compressors (up to approximately10 HP) iv) Condensate Systems. d) Service calls will generally be minor in nature and may consist of but not limited to inspections, the repair and replacement of and troubleshooting of various plumbing and heating systems. e) Perform immediate remedial work as required and repair such systems to acceptable operating condition. f) The contractor shall through experience and expertise exercise judgement by notifying the Facility Manager/Manitoba Representative of any repairs, which the contractor deems excessive comparing the repair cost against replacement based on the existing conditions and ages of equipment. The Agreement shall be for an initial term of three (3) years commencing upon August 1, 2024 and expiring July 31, 2027.
