The primary scope of work, BASE BID will encompass 1/2 of a mile of East Pleasant Street beginning at Louisiana Street and extending to South Hachman Street. The work under this project includes: traffic control, construction surveying, abandonment of existing sewer system, including manholes; demolition of existing roadway excavation and grading, valley gutters, curb and gutter, sidewalk and ADA compliant curb ramps with truncated domes; installation of new A.C. pavement, aggregate base, concrete valley gutters, sidewalks, curb and gutter, sewer main, manholes, and laterals; replacement of utility valves. Each bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security, cash, a cashiers or certified check payable to the City of Coalinga, or bid bond issued by a corporate surety, for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate of the bid, A Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and (100%) Payment Bond on a standard surety bond form. Bid Award: August 1, 2024 Construction Start: September 9, 2024 Construction End: December 5, 2024 Liquidated Damages will be assessed at $1000.00 per day for every calendar day beyond the end of contract.
