Request for Proposals The City of Rankin, Texas is issuing a request for proposals (RFP), to provide water service meters and an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system for the City's water utility. The City intends to select metering equipment and an AMI system that is best suited to its needs. The AMI system is expected to have at least a 20-year life The City currently has approximately 480 water service meters, as of May 31, 2024. Approximately 94 percent are 3/4-inch meters, and 4 percent are larger commercial 2-inch meters. The current majority meter brands are Sensus, Rockwell, and Master Meter. The current meter brands are Sensus, Rockwell, and Master Meter The work involved under the terms of the contract with the Contracted Respondent shall be full and complete execution of the items noted below, and as described further throughout this RFP. The scope of work is divided into five parts, as described. Respondents must provide proposals addressing all parts of the scope of work. Respondents may exercise the option of partnering with others to complement the offerings in their proposals.
