Remodeling and renovation of a medical facility in Maria, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the remodel of a medical facility; and for the renovation of a medical facility.
Maria Hospital Development: emergency and intensive care unit. TIMELINE: The Integrated Health and Social Services Centre (CISSS) of Gaspesie has completed a functional program for the modernization project of the emergency and intensive care units of the Maria Hospital. This project could not be included in the Quebec Infrastructure Plan (PQI) 2024-2034, due to lack of budget availability. However, the institution obtained authorization from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) to conduct studies to fully understand the condition of the electrical, mechanical, structural and civil components of the Maria Hospital and to determine whether they will be able to assume the new loads planned not only for the emergency project, but also the future developments of the Hospital, which will make it possible to accelerate certain steps before proceeding with a future registration in the PQI. Contract for consulting services to conduct studies to fully understand the condition of the electrical, mechanical, structural and civil components of the Maria Hospital and determine the scope of work of future projects was awarded to CIMA+ Quebec. Design, tender and construction timelines depend on funding availability. Further update in spring/summer, 2026.
