The work for the Water Intertie Upgrade for Taylor Way and Milwaukee Way includes installation of two pressure reducing valve (PRV) stations and intertie upgrades at different sites: one PRV station and intertie is located near the 3800 block of Taylor Way; the other PRV station and intertie is located near the 2300 block of Milwaukee Way. The PRV stations will be undergrounded within vaults and have parallel 4"" and 12"" PRV pipe galleries within the stations. The PRV stations are located near the intertie locations for the City of Tacoma and the City of Fife, which are being upgraded as part of this contract. Additional improvements and work to be completed is provided for in the Contract Documents. Within the bid form, Schedule 'A' contains all work associated with the Milwaukee Way site; Schedule 'B' contains all work associated with the Taylor Way site. A single Prime Contractor will be selected for work at both sites based on the lowest total bid (i.e. the summation of Schedule 'A' and Schedule 'B').
