Site work for a civil project in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Roadway Crack Sealing Question Deadline 07/24/2024 at 12:00 AM PT online submission. The Supplier is responsible for protecting against damage in their work zone, such as, but not limited to, cyclists, cars, people, pets, sidewalks, driveways, walkways, landscape, environment, structures, parking lots etc. An SDOT supervisor will check work periodically during the work shift. The Supplier must: Use a melting pot unit that has self-contained double boiler, with the transmittal of heat through heat transfer oil. The unit must have a properly rated fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Use material specifically designed for the application of crack sealing. See specification sheet, Attachment A. Ensure that adhesion is adequate, and that dew is not forming on the pavement surface. Maintain all equipment, tools and machines used in crack sealing application in safe and satisfactory working condition. Ensure that calibration of thermostats and gauges is performed routinely to assure correct temperature of heat transfer oil and sealant. Provide a Warranty for the services for one year after installation. Be a licensed contractor with the State of Washington. Coordinate the work schedule with SDOT. The supplier will contact SDOT, Jaime Vanater, via phone, before start of work at 206-445-3342.
