Renovation of a medical facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

On behalf of Alberta Health Services, you are hereby invited to submit a Bid in response to the Northeast, Southeast, and Kingsway Parking Structures Repair Program at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. The Work involves: Northeast Parking Structure Thin traffic deck coating application at stairwell treads and landings (four stairwells total). Includes all required surface preparation, crack detailing, and sealant. "Thick" waterproofing system replacement at localized areas of leakage (at Levels 5/6 and 6/7), including re-waterproofing repairs above previous crack injection repair locations. Includes required surface preparation, detailing, sealant materials, and asphalt surface sealer, and soffit scraping and painting below re-waterproofing areas. Localized "thick" waterproofing system repairs at areas of potholing and shear failure. Includes required surface preparation, detailing, sealant materials, and asphalt surface sealer. Repair of concrete slab surface delaminations within areas of "thick" system removal. Localized concrete stair tread removal and replacement at designated areas. Includes new reinforcing steel and substrate preparation. Localized concrete delamination repairs at beam soffit, vertical column, and perimeter concrete cap locations. Localized resurfacing repairs with epoxy-mortar resurfacing materials at entrance/exit concrete topping areas. Includes required surface preparation and perimeter detailing. Drainage system repairs and upgrades, including localized floor drain removal and replacement, and repairs to cracked and corroded drainage system piping. Includes soffit scraping and painting below new floor drain locations. Parking line painting at areas affected by Work. Includes stall lines, hatching, handicap symbols, and directional arrows, as necessary. Flushing of existing drainage system throughout suspended parking structure. Localized brick masonry repointing repairs. Allowances for multiple work phases, construction hoarding, and dust control measures to maintain partial pedestrian and vehicle access through parking structure during work. Southeast Parking Structure Localized waterproofing repairs above areas of leakage at Levels P2 through P5. Includes required surface preparation, detailing, sealant materials, and asphalt surface sealer, and soffit scraping and painting upon completion of repairs. Localized concrete through slab and slab-on-grade delamination repairs. Localized sealant removal and replacement at areas of failure at Level 5 west elevator core structure. Stainless steel screen tubing repair. General soffit scraping and painting at slab soffit areas to allow for future leakage monitoring. Includes surface preparation prior to application of new paint materials. Removal of corrosion and repainting bollard bases at northeast exterior area on Level P1. Includes all required surface preparation. Parking line painting at areas affected by Work. Includes stall lines, hatching, handicap symbols, and directional arrows, as necessary. Allowances for multiple work phases, construction hoarding, and dust control measures to maintain partial pedestrian and vehicle access through parking structure during work. Kingsway Parking Structure Asphalt surface sealer application throughout the Upper Parking Level. Includes required cleaning and surface preparation prior to sealer application and localized asphalt crack sealant repairs. Parking line painting at areas affected by Work, including throughout Upper Parking Level upon completion of asphalt surface sealer application. Includes stall lines, hatching, and barrier free parking symbols, as necessary. Vertical concrete foundation wall repair at west foundation wall structure. Localized foundation wall concrete spall repairs at lower parking level. Localized concrete soffit delamination repairs. Repair of concrete spalls at slab-on-grade parking level. Repair of concrete upstand walls adjacent to perimeter columns. Removal and replacement of damaged metal flashing at the Upper Parking Level, where designated. New sealant materials at west stair structure. General soffit scraping and painting at slab soffit areas to allow for future leakage monitoring. Includes surface preparation prior to application of new paint materials. PUMA traffic deck coating enhancement at Upper Parking Level expansion joints. Includes application of basecoat materials at areas where coating is damaged through to concrete substrate. Work includes all required surface preparation. Crack injection repairs at leaking area of west foundation wall. New floor drain at Upper Parking Level at area of ponding, where designated. Includes localized "thick" waterproofing system removal, concrete removal, connections to existing drainage system, new concrete repair materials, and new "thick" waterproofing system materials (including membrane, asphalt, and perimeter asphalt sealant. Drainage system repairs to cracked and corroded drainage piping, where designated on Drawings. Includes connections to existing drainage system. Flushing of drainage system throughout parking structure. Includes removal of silt and debris from sump pits upon completion of flushing new floor drain and associated piping. Localized on-grade concrete pavement repair (at area beyond suspended level). Allowances for multiple work phases, construction hoarding, and dust control measures to maintain partial pedestrian and vehicle access through parking structure during work.
