The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids not conforming to the intent and purpose of the specifications, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the bid opening date. Envelopes containing the bid must be sealed, addressed to The Clerk of the Board, and designated as a bid for the following items described, to wit: EAST CENTRAL MULTI-PURPOSE ARENA LEAN-TO ADDITION Any bids received after the time and date specified will not be considered and will be returned unopened. If any envelope is not so marked, any bid contained therein will not be considered. Contractors have the option of submitting their bids sealed in an envelope or electronically through www.jacksoncoplans.com. If a sealed envelope bid is submitted by mail, the post office address of the Chancery Clerk of Jackson County is P.O. Box 998, Pascagoula, MS 39568-0998. Bids may be delivered to Joshua Eldridge, Chancery Clerk, c/o Purchasing Department, 2915 Canty Street, Suite D, Pascagoula, MS 39567. All bid envelopes should contain the bidder's name and mailing address on the face of the envelope and also specify the name of the bid item. Bidder's certificate of responsibility number or a statement that the bid inside is less than $50,000.00 shall appear on the outside or exterior of the envelope or container of such bids, failing which, said bid shall not be opened or considered. When submitting an electronic bid, the bid must be submitted in "pdf" format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. When submitting a bid electronically, the authorized signature shall be an electronic signature or handwritten in blue-ink signature. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, the bid will be considered null and void. When bids are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), on the exterior of the bid envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. Question Deadline 08/06/2024 at 5:00 PM CT The scope of this project shall include providing a new pre-engineered metal building lean-to structure addition to a recently constructed metal building arena manufactured by Ludwig Buildings Enterprises. The addition will be approximately 40' x 75'. This project will include providing the building structure and its foundation. It will also include modifications to a portion of the existing building wall panels. The ground in the area of the addition will require minimum clearing, and debris (roots, stumps, etc.) shall be removed prior to constructing the foundation. Material excavated for the foundation shall remain onsite and be spread in the vicinity of the project as directed during construction. The Owner will provide the concrete slab and select fill material required to construct the slab after the project is complete.
