Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
This project consists of, but is not limited to: Demolition and removal of structures, footings, debris, brickbat and concrete; lot cleanup; grading, final grading; sewer seal(s), performance of asbestos inspections, file NESHAP Reports and Test Reports where required, and properly dispose of asbestos shingles etc.; slab removal; fence row(s) removal when specified; tree(s) removal when specified; fill/top soil placement; hay bale barriers(s); dust control; and other related activities. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this contract. If you have any questions about this project please call 918-758-1112 or email kevin@okmcity.net Each Notice to Proceed shall allow SIXTY (60) calendar days for the time for completion, said sixty (60) calendar days shall commence on the effective date of the Notice To Proceed. The undersigned agrees, that the separate certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond payable to the owner, accompanying the proposal, is to be left in escrow with the owner, and that its amount of five percent (5%) of the contract price is the measure of liquidated damages which the owner will sustain by failure of the undersigned to execute and deliver the contract to owner, or defaults in furnishing the required bonds when the agreement is presented for signing, the amount of the separate checks or bidder's bond shall be due and payable to the owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for statutory bonds as required. The undersigned, in submitting this bid, understands that the City and each of its Public Trusts reserves the right to reject any or all bids. If the bids received are in amounts which exceed the funds available for the project, the governing body may reduce the scope of the project prior to the award of the bid; provided that all bids shall be recalculated using the reduced scope of the project as if the reduction was a change order in order to evaluate the bids received in the decision to award a contract. The scope of work in this Contract includes the demolition, removal and site clearance of certain structures, accessory buildings, and other items as described in Paragraph 7 of these Technical Specifications. The Contractor is responsible for furnishing all technical personnel, labor, materials, equipment, and services required to accomplish said demolition and site clearance work and this shall be performed in such a manner as to meet the requirements set forth in these contract documents. The 2018 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE shall apply to this contract as well as all other City, County, State and/or Federal laws, codes and requirements, whether specifically named in these documents or not. Any exceptions and/or special City requirements shall be noted in this section of these documents. Any other deviations from this standard shall be in a written form and approvals are required from the City of Okmulgee. The requirements for the handling of asbestos material in structures to be demolished, as listed in the Federal Register, Volume 38, Number 66, Part II issued by the Environmental Protection Agency, entitled National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). Asbestos, beryllium, and mercury shall apply to this contract. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to assure that the requirements are complied with.
