Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors to provide residential roof replacement at the following location: 1311 Spruce Street Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 Question Submission Deadline:July 18, 2024, 4:30pm Question Response Deadline:July 19, 2024, 4:30pm Sitework During construction the Contractor shall remove debris as it is generated. Avoid accumulating debris. On completion, all excess building material shall be removed from the site. Contractor shall rake the site clean of construction debris. Carpentry Remove roof coverings down to the sheathing. Replace rotten, warped, or damaged sheathing, rafters, soffit or fascia to match existing. Re-nail all sheathing as required per Code. Replace missing or damaged soffit vents. Sheathing shall match existing on exposed eaves. New fascia shall be pressure treated. Install 6" aluminum drip edge over 1x2 strips around the entire perimeter of the house. Replace vents and valley flashings with new. Use plumbing boots and covers with hardware cloth cages to protect from chewing damage. Roofing Type Apply thirty (30) year or better fiberglass Class A architectural shingles over synthetic moisture barrier or other manufactured products over gable area. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. The homeowner shall select the color. Prime and paint new soffit and/or fascia to blend with existing colors. Modified Bitumen On flat portion(s) of the roof installed modified bitumen roofing system for the use in FBC Non HVHZ jurisdictions. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. The homeowner shall select the color. All Contractors shall bid on twenty (20) sheets of plywood, forty (40) linear feet of fascia, and fifty (50) square feet of soffit. Only the actual quantities installed for these items will be paid. If the roof replacement requires additional quantities of these items, a Contract Amendment will be required.
