Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors to provide residential roof replacement at the following location 1508 Spruce Street Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 The residence has 2,012 square feet under the roof. Substantial Completion shall be obtained within forty-five (45) days from Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the Contract. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) generally apply to contractors and subcontractors performing on federal and federally assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for construction, alteration, or repair (including painting and decorating). Laborers and mechanics performing on the site of the work of DBRA-covered contracts are entitled to receive prevailing wage rates for such work. The County reserves the right to approve all subcontractors for this contract. If subcontractors are to be utilized, the subcontractors must possess an active and valid license issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the appropriate category. Subcontractors may be added during the contract period only with PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION from the County, and only for reasonable cause, as judged by the County.
