Provide quarterly preventative pump maintenance and repairs for the City facilities that have irrigation well pumps, irrigation pump stations, lake fountain maintenance and installation. Project Estimated Budget $250,000.00 Bid Bond $1000.00 Question Deadline 07/09/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Deadline for written questions sent via email to the Issuing Officer Name: India Barr Email Ibarr@cityofpsl.com Responses to Written Questions July 15th 2024 5:00 p.m. ET Motors o Voltage test on electrical wiring under no load and full load conditions to determine electrical power quality and electrical connection integrity. o Amperage, sound, and Meg-Ohm test on all motors to determine conditions of motor winding bearings temperature reading. o Change motor oil and lubricate motors each visit. o Flush and replace grease from upper and lower bearings on all motors. o Inspect motor termination; head shaft connection and ratchet assembly. Check and tighten base bolts. Pumps o Clean drain tubes, adjust packing, and check for shaft play, verify vacuum breaker for anti-siphon. Tighten all base bolts. o Pressures test all pumps at no flow (dead head) and full flow (this requires assistance from maintenance staff) to determine condition of pumps bowl assembly and determine proper water flow through intake system. o Check for excessive noise and vibration. o Check and adjust packing for proper coolant water flow. Repack pumps and inspect shaft clearance in packing house bi-annual. Check Valves o Sound check all check valves for leakage. Isolation Valves o Inspect, lubricate if needed and exercise all isolation valves. Manifold o Inspect general condition of all manifold and bolting. Pressure Relief Valve o Verify valve operation during a high pressure occurrence. Inspect and clean all ports and tubing. Tank o Visually inspect hydro pneumatic tank integrity. Verify air and water ratio. Inspect surge tank air relief valve and verify operation. (Portable air compressor will be needed). Station Skid and Piping o Inspection for any signs of deterioration Control Valve o Verify operation of all valves (CRD, CRL, Clay-valve, VFD) and flip all diaphragms once per year. Clean Y strainer, limit switches, micro switches, and flush all tubing. Check pressure gauges and stem "O" rings. Optional Equipment o Check the following optional component if present. Relief valve (standard on VFD station), Y-strainer, hydraulic pump station and intake screen, flush operation. Bypass control valve, and air compressor for tank charge. Water Source o Inspect wet well for debris/snails that are floating or submerged at the bottom of the wet well and remove annually and visually inspect pump column assembly (access hatch is necessary for this procedure). Inspect intake line for damage and clean all rotating screens from debris, vegetation and snails. Main Electrical o Check and verify all connections to pump station. Inspect disconnecting means and verify proper fusing. Grounding o Verify main grounding electrode and grounding electrode conductor inspect all ground and bonding connections. Control Panel o Inspect and clean as necessary all control components in electrical control cabinet. Make necessary adjustment as needed for proper operation. Clean and flush control tubing to pressure switches, verify all alarm operations installed on station and check indicating lamps, and replace as necessary. Clean and inspect motor starter contacts once per year. Inspect electrical enclosure for leakage. Clean interior of electrical enclosure. Lubricate door gasket and disconnect linkage. Inspect all wiring and terminations. Inspect and verify surge protection. Verify VFD operation and VFD cooling unit.
