The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements in Martensdale, Iowa under one contract generally described as follows: Construction of improvements to the existing lagoon lift station to include; demolition of the existing above ground pump building, concrete pad, and trash basket with the abandonment of pipes as noted in the plans plus installation of the new above ground valve vault, Davit Crane, concrete pad, and approximately 314 LF of 8" ductile iron force main piping installed via trenched methods. Also included in the project is erosion control and site restoration. Bid Alternate A (additive) - New Influent Control Structure: Construction of a new influent control structure, backfill material and grading, an additional approximately 16 LF of 8" ductile iron force main piping, and demolition of the existing influent control structure. Bid Alternate B (additive) - New Emergency Backup Generator: Removal and replacement of the existing emergency backup generator. Est.
