Downtown Led Streetlight Fixture Conversions Each Bidder's Proposal Shall Be Accompanied by a Security Deposit of at Least Five Percent (5%) of the Bidder's Price Proposal in the Form of a Bid Bond. The goal of this project is to convert all existing "acorn style" Sternberg light fixtures in the Village's Central Business District (CBD) to an LED light source. The LED light bulbs have been purchased by the Village already. The contractor will be responsible for the following items at each conversion location: o Set up any traffic control necessary to access the streetlight. o Remove the existing polycarbonate acorn shell and inspect for damage. (Anticipate the need to drill out existing set screws to remove the head) o Remove and dispose of the existing light source (HPS bulb or similar). o Re-wire to bypass the ballast and install a medium base socket (if needed) in the correct location (centered within the acorn shell) o Unbox the Village-provided LED bulb, inspect for damage, confirm that the brightness/wattage setting is in the "27W" (middle) setting. o Install the Village-provided LED bulb and test for functionality. o Clean the existing polycarbonate acorn and reinstall (with new stainless steel set screws as needed). o Record/report any maintenance concerns
