The City of Sedro-Woolley is soliciting proposals through our small works roster process for the exterior cleaning, re-caulking, re-painting, and staining of exterior wood surfacing of the Sedro-Woolley City Hall Building at 325 Metcalf Street. Also included in this contract is the cleaning and staining of the Riverfront Park east picnic shelter at 1001 River Road, and the covered shelter at the Riverfront Park Off Leash Dog Park. Instructions to Bidders: The municipal building portion of the project includes painting all the exposed wood trim on the exterior of the municipal building and includes the staining of the exterior soffits. The Riverfront Park shelter, and dog park shelter portion of the project includes the staining of the entire picnic structure inside and out. Steel door painting is not included in this project. Proposals should be submitted according to the below specifications: Municipal Building Products 1. Exterior Fascia is Cabots Alkyd clear solution #3000, Color Natural or approved equivalent, 2. The trim shall be color matched to metal roofing and downspout color, cool dark bronze. Riverfront Park Products 1. Sikkens Cetol SRD Cedar Tone, or approved equivalent. City staff will assist the contractor with project scheduling and coordination. The contract shall include all prep work including pressure washing, sanding, re-caulking, masking, priming of any bare wood spots, painting trim, staining soffits, and clean up. Bids shall include total costs including labor and materials, obtaining necessary licenses and permits (local and/or state), and all equipment necessary to safely complete the job, disposal of all related waste and cleanup of the site. Work will be performed per the current edition of the International Building Code and City standards. Work done by the Contractor's own organization shall account for at least 30 percent of the Awarded Contract price. The Contractor shall not subcontract Work unless the Engineer approves in writing. If the Engineer requests, the Contractor shall provide proof that the Subcontractor has the experience, ability and equipment the Work requires. The City of Sedro-Woolley reserves the right, without any liability on our part, to accept a proposal of the bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid, to reject any or all bids, revise or cancel the work to be performed, or do the work otherwise, if the best interest of the City is served thereby.
