Saving Project...
This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in West Jordan, Utah. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
The City of West Jordan is seeking proposals from Landscaping Firms to furnish all equipment, labor, materials, and appurtenances to provide landscape maintenance services for city-maintained developments, City owned Reservoirs, Well Sites, and city-maintained park strips. The project is outlined below. The Contractor shall check each property for trash and debris before mowing or trimming and removing such material. The Contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of all trash and debris that are removed. All hard surfaces including sidewalks and gutters shall be clean and free of weeds and debris upon completion of all mowing, trimming, and edging operations. The Contractor shall assume all responsibility for plant material, irrigation system, and turf, which is damaged in any way as a result of poor maintenance or negligence. The contractor shall assume all costs associated with the replacement of damaged material. Contractors are required to have a current S330 Landscape & Recreation Contractors License or Equivalent. The City reserves the right to add or subtract property location(s) as needed throughout the term(s) of the resulting agreement. Additional cost(s) of new property locations will be at the same comparable rate(s) as those currently provided in the contract term(s). Additional similar and related work may be requested as needed to maintain the property. Monthly invoice payments will be processed for all regularly scheduled work and any additional work completed during each month's billing period; for example, irrigation repairs, tree replacement, etc. It is the Contractor's responsibility to verify square footage within the scope of work. The Contractor will be required to perform the following on a weekly basis: 1. All garbage and debris shall be removed before performing the mowing operation. 2. All turf areas shall be mowed at a height of 3" unless otherwise specified. 3. Each mowing shall intersect the path of the previous mowing to avoid creating a nap in the turf. 4. Contractor shall not leave clumps, furrows, or a visible layer of turf clippings. If necessary to prevent this condition, the contractor shall catch and remove the turf clippings at no additional cost. 5. All gutters and sidewalks surrounding the park strips and treescapes shall be cleaned of all clippings and debris and shall be properly disposed of after each mowing. This practice helps to prevent the discharge of floatables into the stormwater system. Questions arising after the issuance of this RFP, that could have a significant impact on the responses to the RFP, should be submitted in the RFP at online by July 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. MST. The successful Contractor may be issued a contract for a period of two (2) years. Upon mutual agreement of the City and Vendor, the agreement may be renewed for four (4) additional two-year (2) year term(s). Each term is subject to performance and service(s) reviews at any time(s) throughout each term. The awarded contract may be canceled at any time upon sixty (60) days written notice by either the City or the awarded Contractor.
