Fernie Elementary School construction. New 265 capacity school (40K/225E) with GHG emission reduction. Construct a 2,315m2 one storey elementary school plus NLC to provide purpose-built space for Indigenous Education, a warming kitchen, and expanded gym. The building will be constructed to exceed LEED Gold equivalent standards by achieving an additional 60% GHG reduction and will also support 21st Century Learning. It is expected all exterior amenity areas such as playgrounds and playfields will require additional grading to achieve level surfaces. TIMELINE: Request for proposal seeking an architect and other consultant services, has been issued by the owner. The selected architect will be responsible for providing design services, coordinating design professionals, adhering to the budget set by the Quantity Surveyor, and handling permitting services. Additionally, the architect will oversee construction-related services, including certification, reviews, meetings, and contract administration.
