Contract: "2024 Mill Street Paving" in the Borough of Bowmanstown, Carbon County 1,830 SY of 25.0mm Base Course 1,830 SY of 9.5mm Wearing Course. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Bowmanstown Borough. The successful bidder for the "2024 Mill Street Paving" Bid Proposal will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. Or as otherwise provided in the special requirements and will complete all work on or before October 4, 2024. If all work is not completed on time, liquidated damages will be assessed at the rate of $885.00 per additional calendar day. The Borough Council of Bowmanstown reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Borough. The work on this road will be to excavate the existing roadway and repave with Subbase 6" Depth, Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Base Course, PGS 64-22, 10 TO < 30 Million ESALS, 25.0 MM Mix, 4" Depth, and Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PGS 64-22, 0.3 TO < 3 Million ESALS, 9.5 MM Mix, 1 1/2" Depth, SRL-L. Seal all edges, joints and utilities with PG 64S-22 Asphalt Cement, this work will be incidental to the bituminous paving materials. Any required utility risers will be supplied by the Municipality and placed by the Contractor during the paving operation. The work will also include the installation of new ADA ramps and concrete curb at the intersection of Mill and Ore Streets. Excavation and sawcutting associated with the ADA ramps and curb will be incidental to the curb and sidewalk items.A new inlet box and Type C inlet top will be installed on Mill Street with 15" pipe that ties into an existing inlet on Ore Street. Pipe trench restoration shall be completed in accordance with RC-30M and is incidental to the installation of pipe. Connection of the proposed pipe to the existing inlet on Ore Street will also be incidental to the installation of the pipe. The Contractor is to submit work sequence plan in writing for approval.
