The port reserves the right to cancel or to reissue the RFQ in whole or in part, prior to execution of an AGREEMENT. The Port is seeking an architectural consultant to provide design and construction management services for the repair and upgrade of Building 2001 located at Kotobuki Way at the port. Examples of areas to address are various drainage and fire protection systems; abating, removing and recoating the roof; replacing upgrading the roof venting system; and providing new paving for the parking lot. Abatement design and any hazardous material work will be performed and contracted directly with the Port and is not a part of this scope. For these tasks, the consultant selected from this solicitation will serve as part of the project team to the prime consultant. Building 2001 is a 260’ wide by 455’ long premanufactured metal building constructed in 1966. The exterior walls are comprised of metal panels spacing vertically between horizontal girts, which span between steel frames. The building was originally designed under the Uniform Building Code 1964 (UBC1964). The existing roof has a multilayer and multigenerational coating.
