As of August 15, 2024, no bids received. No definite date for rebid The Town of DeWitt (the Town) wishes to begin the conversion of its fleet of cars and trucks to hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles as part of its effort to decarbonize its fleet while assisting to create a new opportunity for economic development. The Town is looking to install a system that will electrolyze water to produce hydrogen, store the hydrogen in a cryo-storage system and provide a dispenser to fuel hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles owned by the Town. As such, the Town is seeking proposals from Hydrogen Fuel Cell (HFC) Generation and Dispensing Station Suppliers to design, manufacture, install and commission a HFC Generation and Dispensing Station capable of generating 20 kg/day and storing 5 kg at the Town of DeWitt Highway Department located at 5953 Butternut Drive, East Syracuse, NY 13057. Any questions regarding this Project shall be directed to the Engineer at dougmiller@millerengineers.com in writing. Responses shall be issued in the form of an addendum to this bids The Town islooking for a self-contained,standalone system that can generate up to 20 kg/day of hydrogen with an ambient fill at 700 bar dispensing pressure and a 5 kg storage capacity. The HFC Generation and Dispensing Station will utilize Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Electrolysis technology to generate hydrogen. The scope of services provided by the Supplier shall include all tasks required to design, manufacture, install and commission a 20 kg/day HFC Generation and Dispensing Station. The scope shall also include, but not be limited to, securing all permits and approvals from governing agencies and utilities, all labor, services, permit fees, and equipment necessary to produce a fully operational HFC Generation and Dispensing Station. The proposal shall contain all contain a detailed explanation of the complete project and description of all work tasks to be performed by the awarded Supplier. Upon completion and certification of operation by the awarded Supplier, the Town will assume ownership of the station with operation and maintenance performed by Town personnel. Assistance may be provided as needed by the Supplier under a separate agreement.
