MPE Job No: 2023-220 As of August 22, 2024, per addendum 2, the bid date has been extended from August 23, 2024 to September 18, 2024. The project consists of site development and building construction at the existing South Woods Elementary School. The building is a 2-story consisting of 12 primary classrooms plus two extended learning spaces. Construction is tilt-wall concrete with steel columns, steel deck, SBS modified roof system, interior finishes, chilled water HVAC system, relocation of an existing expansion tank, and additional asphalt parking spots. There is work in the existing building which consists of replacing light fixtures with LED fixtures. This work will need to be scheduled around school hours. The work also includes the construction of a new 750 square foot stand alone chiller building and connecting canopies The Jessica Lundsford Act and Owner-Direct Purchase is in effect. It is anticipated that this project will start in September 2024 and be substantially complete by October 2025, but this is subject to change. Required trades include: earthwork, fencing, landscaping, cast-in-place & tilt-wall concrete, lightweight concrete, thin-brick masonry, structural steel, ornamental metals, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, data/communications, audio/visual, electronic security, waterproofing, SBS and standing seam metal roofing, doors, frames & hardware, storefront, curtainwall, & glazing, drywall & metal stud framing, EIFS, casework & millwork, painting, flooring, resinous flooring, toilet accessories, signage, operable partitions, aluminum canopies, visual display boards, window treatments, elevators. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five days after the opening thereof.
