PROJECT DESCRIPTION : The City has obtained state grant funding through the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Program to enhance safety for bicyclists from the intersection of 10th Street and I Street to the intersection of 8th Street and A Street. The primary focus of the project is to improve safety from the intersection of 10th Street and I Street to the intersection of 8th Street and A Street for bicyclists. The 8th/10th Street corridors are a key transportation routes that support all modes of transportation including vehicles, transits, pedestrians, and bicyclists. The project is state grant funded, and consultants will be held to state EEO requirements. SCOPE OF WORK The selected firm will be responsible for all aspects of the cyclist and pedestrian safety enhancements design and the PS&E package, including surveying, engineering, completion of Environmental Documentation and any necessary permits, and coordinating traffic engineering with WSDOT. Work may also include construction inspection or management during the construction phase. The PS&E package must adhere to WSDOT & City standards. Under the general direction of the City Engineer or designee, qualified firm(s) shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: Preliminary Engineering Study and selection of Design Alternatives Topographic Survey Environmental Documentation & Permitting Determination of R/W needs and R/W plan preparation if required Coordination with WSDOT Traffic Engineers Question Deadline Mar 20, 2025 at 5:00 PM
