he major items of work include creating a raised intersection, adding curb bulbs where not already in place, installing new ADA compliant ramps, and adding pedestrian level and street lighting improvements. The project also includes upgrading a water main in the intersection. The Federal Small Business Enterprise (FSBE) requirements on this project are 10% certified FSBE. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory Contract Bond within the time stated in the Bid Documents, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Auburn. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be for the best interest of the City of Auburn. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The proposed bid range for the project is from $1,000,000 to $1,250,000.
