Subcontractors must prequalify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if they subsequently undertake the partial or total construction of one or more items of work. All Bidders and Subcontractors must be PennDOT prequalified. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Township reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, irregularities or defects in the bid; or to reject any or all of the bids. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days after the opening thereof, during which time the Township may review the bids and investigate bidder qualifications. The successful Bidder must comply with Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Upper Providence Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids. It, likewise, reserves the right to waive any nonconformity with respect to any bid or any error with respect to the same, which does not constitute a substantial departure from the requirements herein set forth.
