A timeline for the award is not yet determined.** The work to be performed for the 2021 ROAD PROJECTS consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for road maintenance projects along multiple Township roads. The work will include approximately 1,460 tons of Superpave wearing course, 1,145 SY of select base repair, 195 SY of bituminous pavement milling, and other related road work. All bids will be reviewed by the Perkiomen Township Board of Supervisors at their regular Supervisors meeting at 7:00 p.m. on March 2, 2021. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Treasurers Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of Perkiomen Township, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. The work shall be substantially completed within Sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, and as described in the Contract Documents. Proposals shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of Bid opening. Bidders for the 2021 ROAD PROJECTS must be PennDOT Prequalified for bituminous paving work, and all materials and suppliers must be PennDOT approved. Wages paid employees of the successful bidder shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Board of Supervisors of Perkiomen Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or portions thereof. Perkiomen Township also reserves the right to overlook or waive a bid defect, irregularity, deficiency or nonconformance provided that: (1) same is patently insignificant or technical; (2) the best interests of the Township would be advanced by the waiver; (3) the waiver would not give an unfair advantage to one bidder over another; and, (4) the waiver would not violate Section 3102 of the Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. 68102, et seq. Clarification Deadline: 2/16/2021 2:00 PM Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within sixty (60) calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run as provided in paragraph 2.3 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment within seventy-five (75) calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run.
