SCOPE OF WORK: Each pay item is listed as a separate service call. There are two (2) pay items for each service area. The first pay item is for plowing, shoveling, snow blowing and snow removal. The second item is for sanding/gravel/ice-melt of these same areas. Pricing is to include all labor, equipment, sand/ice-melt and materials needed to complete each service call. When called out for a Pay Item, the Contractor will commence work and continue operations until the work is complete. This will constitute a single service call. Spring sweeping and sand removal is listed separately and will include all areas that are serviced in the winter. Snow is to be removed for each of the designated areas when snow accumulation is a minimum of three (3) inches or at the request of the CBJ representative. Snow is to be removed from the Marie Drake and the Central Office after each plowing. There are no storage areas for snow and/or equipment at Marie Drake and the Central Office. The contractor will be responsible for the removal and storage of snow. Snow may not be placed on any of the adjacent sidewalks or streets. Floyd Dryden does have an area for snow storage see attached schematic/site map (EXHIBIT 1). Storage of specialized snow removal equipment at Floyd Dryden will be allowed. CBJ assumes no responsibility for equipment stored on City property. Contractors are encouraged to provide notice of participation and submit questions via email to Purchasing@juneau.gov a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled meeting. Contractors interested in submitting a bid are strongly encouraged to attend. The contract will be in effect from date of award through June 30, 2025. The period of operation/work is estimated to be from October 15, through April 15, of the contract year. CBJ will evaluate services at the conclusion of the contract to determine the best value for CBJ moving forward. he City reserves the right to determine the suitability of services offered. All services and materials are subject to approval by the City. Any services and materials rejected because of non-conformity of the terms and conditions or specifications of this contract, whether held by the City or returned, will be at the Contractor's risk and expense.
