Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Question Deadline 07/30/2024 Description of Work: Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision and perform all work necessary for and incidental to the construction of the project known as the 2024 Accessibility Project, City Project No. C1040/C1071. The work includes but is not limited to constructing concrete curb, gutter and ramps and related improvements at various locations throughout the City of Martinez. Work shall include traffic control, pedestrian detours, staging of the work, temporary stormwater pollution control, clearing and grubbing, adjustment of existing utility boxes, replacement of concrete curb, gutter, ramps, sidewalk, driveway, and installation of hot mix asphalt plugs and conforms, concrete wheel stops, removal and installation of thermoplastic pavement stripes and markings, relocation of signs, and such other items or details that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, the Special Provisions and as directed by the Engineer. The work is to be completed in 20 working days. The Engineer's Estimate is: $240,000 A certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will fulfill the terms of the bid. The City of Martinez reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals or bids or portions thereof. Bids shall be marked: "Bid of (Contractor) for 2024 Accessibility Project, City Project No. C1040/C1071" along with date and time of bid opening. Bids shall be dropped off and timestamped at first floor entrance of City Offices, Engineering Counter, at City Hall. City Hall is open between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday excluding Holidays. Bidders are hereby notified that provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California, regarding the prevailing wages shall be applicable to the work to be performed under this contract. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1773 the general prevailing wage rates have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations and appear in the California and Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, copies of which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of Martinez and are available to interested parties for review on request. Future effective wage rates which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but are not printed in such publication. If a bidder has any problems in understanding or accepting any of the terms and/or conditions specified in the bid documents, said bidder must contact Ali Hatefi by email at ahatefi@cityofmartinez.org at least seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled bid opening. Otherwise, it will be presumed that bidder agrees with, understands and has read all the bid documents above specified.
