Renovation of a civil project in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

** As of August 23, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** In general, the work includes necessary site work and construction for replacement of a hydropneumatic pressure control tank and appurtenant facilities the City of Martinez Webster Drive Booster Pump Station. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Selective demolition and removal of the existing hydropneumatic pressure vessel, support structure, air compressor, and appurtenant facilities; installation of a hydropneumatic tank (pressure vessel) with associated foundation, anchorage, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation improvements; installation of an air compressor with associated foundation, anchorage, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation improvements; installation of a temporary pressure control system to function in lieu of the existing hydropneumatic tank (to be demolished) until the new pressure vessel and associated work is installed and commissioned; repair and reconstruction of existing improvements affected by the Work, and incidentals for complete and usable facility; and, all associated work to furnish a complete project as described in the Drawings and Specifications. The Engineer's Estimate for the Base Bid is $700,000. A certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will fulfill the terms of the bid. The City of Martinez reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals or bids or portions thereof. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope and marked: "Bid of (Contractor) for WEBSTER DRIVE HYDROPNEUMATIC TANK REPLACEMENT PROJECT" along with date and time of bid opening. Bids shall be dropped off and timestamped at first floor entrance of City Offices, Engineering Counter, at City Hall. City Hall is open between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday excluding Holidays. All Bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3, of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the project and shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of work called for under the Contract. The general contractor is required to have a California State Contractor's License Class A. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept only a portion of certain items of the bid or to waive any informalities in the bid. If a bidder has any problems in understanding or accepting any of the terms and/or conditions specified in the bid documents, said bidder must contact Ali Hatefi by email at ahatefi@cityofmartinez.org at least seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled bid opening. Otherwise, it will be presumed that bidder agrees with, understands and has read all the bid documents above specified
