Renovation of a municipal facility in Fort Myers, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of March 03, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The City of Fort Myers (City) requests bids from interested and qualified Respondents to provide repairs to the Downtown Basin for damage caused by Hurricane Ian. Repairs include Handrails; Stanchions; Seawall Cap; Electrical Panel; Lighting; and Sound System. City shall pay Contractor for completion of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents in current funds as follows:$120,000.00 Project ID:25-004-ITB Question Deadline : 01/21/2025 at 4:00 PM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the solicitation document are to be submitted through the OpenGov Portal. Task 1 - Handrails: There are 37 - 10' sections (370' total) of handrails that need to be repaired or replaced. Some sections have minor repairs that are required, some sections are missing completely. Inspect each section and determine the repair or replacement required for that section and include it in the line item. Handrail Repair will be a Not to Exceed Item. Mobilization and Staging should be included as a part of the line item. Task 2 - Stanchions: There are seven (7) stanchions that were damaged by the storm. Each stanchion should be listed as a separate line item under this task. Inspect each stanchion and determine the repair or replacement required and include it in the line item for that stanchion. Stanchion Repairs will be a Not to Exceed Item. Mobilization and Staging should be included as a part of each task line item. Task 3 - Seawall Cap Repair: Inspect entire Seawall Cap and determine requirements to repair and repaint cap. Seawall Cap Repair will be a lump sum item for the task. Mobilization and staging should be included in the Lump Sum cost. Electrical: Task 4 - Panel Repairs: Replace 2 existing main breaker panels in existing stainless-steel enclosure (to remain) with new square D panels. Replace 7 existing lighting contactors with new Square D lighting contactors. Replace 1 existing 600-amp K7 meter with new meter can. Replace 1 12v 500va stainless steel transformer with new transformer. Replace 3 existing photocells with new photocells. Replace 2 existing fluorescent strip lights with LED light fixtures. Replace 2 receptacles inside enclosure with new GFI receptacles. Replace 3 existing override switches with new switches. Repair all existing damaged conduits. Replace all conductors with new from FPL transformer to K7 meter can. Replace all service conductors for control panels. Panel Repairs will be a lump sum item for the task. Mobilization and staging should be included in the Lum Sump cost. Task 5 - Lighting Repairs: All new lights shall be LED. Replace all branch circuits for lighting and outlets. Replace all bridge foot lighting. Replace all inground lighting around Basins. Lighting Repairs will be a lump sum item for the task. Mobilization and staging should be included in the Lump Sum cost. Task 6 - Sound System Repair: Replace all sound equipment and wiring. Sound System Repair will be a lump sum item for the task. Mobilization and staging should be included in the Lum Sum cost. Task 7 - Contingency
