Demolition, site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Fort Myers, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
The City of Fort Myers seeks a Vendor for the turnkey operation to demolish and removal of an existing, damaged maintenance shelter attached to an existing masonry structure, and new construction of a +-4,000 ft2 replacement Metal (prefabricated) Building System complying with AISC 360, "Specification for Structural Steel Buildings," and with AISI's "North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members" for design requirements and allowable stresses. The project will be located at the Fort Myers Public Works Department, 4200 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Fort Myers FL, 33916. The Fleet Maintenance canopy was damaged during hurricane Ian and temporary repairs were made to the existing structure. Replacement of the existing structure with a new metal building system capable of sustaining hurricane winds is needed.
