The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: Contract This Contract is let with four (4) Alternates, the Village of Three Oaks may choose to award any individual alternate or combination thereof. The alternates and included work are as follows: Alternate 1. Removal of approximately 1,500 ft of existing sidewalk and associated curb and gutter, curb ramps, and driveways. Construction of approximately 1,850 ft of 5 ft wide concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, curb and gutter, driveways of various materials, restoration and various appurtenances. Alternate 2. Removal of approximately 2,300 ft of existing sidewalk and associated curb and gutter, curb ramps, and driveways. Construction of approximately 2,300 ft of 5 ft wide concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, curb and gutter, driveways of various materials, restoration and various appurtenances. Alternate 3. Removal of approximately 800 ft of existing sidewalk and associated curb and gutter, curb ramps, and driveways. Construction of approximately 800 ft of 5 ft wide concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, curb and gutter, driveways of various materials, restoration and various appurtenances. Alternate 4. Removal of approximately 1,500 ft of existing sidewalk and associated curb and gutter, curb ramps, and driveways. Construction of approximately 2,400 ft of 5 ft wide concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, curb and gutter, driveways of various materials, restoration and various appurtenances. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the owner or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. Work may commence again, as approved by the Owner, no earlier than March 3, 2025. The entire project must be completed by the final completion date of May 30, 2025.
