The proposed work includes: Construction of new concrete sidewalk to comply with ADA requirements along both sides of Muldrow St, from Quisenberry to Buchanan, in the City of Mexico, MO. All bidders must be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. A certified cashiers check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The City of Mexico reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. : All questions about the meaning or intent of the contract documents shall be submitted to the Design Professional in writing. Replies will be issued by written addenda to all parties on the planholder list. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Any alternate material shall be approved prior to the bid opening and in sufficient time to issue an addendum. No alternates will be approved unless approved in a written addendum. Questions must be received by the Design Professional at least four (4) working days prior to the bid opening. No addenda will be issued less than two (2) working days prior to the bid opening The DBE Goal for this project is 5%. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
