Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Monticello, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Work of this Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Selective demolition. 2. Architectural construction including picnic shelter installation with electrical components. 3. Site work to include excavation, earthwork, asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, sidewalk, pads & curb, stormwater, water, and electrical utilities, basketball and tennis/pickleball court construction, fencing, playground site preparation, landscaping, site amenities, and additional necessary work as defined by the Contract Documents. 4.Contractor shall be required to coordinate and provide equipment for off-loading of owner-purchased playground equipment when it arrives to the project site. This project is being funded by the City of Monticello. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidding firms are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate the contractor and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices and shall be in compliance with applicable State of Illinois Statutes pertaining to the selection of labor and prevailing rate of wages. The City of Monticello Parks and Recreation Department shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid properly addresses and complies with the invitation to bid and is most advantageous to the City of Monticello; price and other factors considered. The City of Monticello Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner All questions are due to the Landscape Architect by Friday, August 9th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. local time, after this time no additional questions will be reviewed prior to the bid opening.
