The City of Rio Rancho is soliciting formal bids from qualified and experienced contractors to perform all work associated with the replacement of existing Automated Meter Reader (AMR) radio read meters with a new Sensus FlexNet AMI system. This will consist of installing new Sensus (IPERL, Ally & OMNI+) meters, drilling out new and existing fiberglass or plastic meter can lids to accommodate SmartPoint radio transceivers, the replacement of metal dual service cans and round single service metal can lids with new non-metal cans and lids. The City of Rio Rancho is soliciting formal bids from qualified and experienced contractors to perform all work associated with the replacement of 5,431 existing Automated Meter Reader (AMR) radio read meters with a new Sensus FlexNet AMI system. Deadline to Submit Written Questions Potential Bidders August 09, 2024 5:00PM MST The Work will be substantially completed within Two Hundred Forty (240) consecutive calendar days Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the City in an amount of at least five (5%) percent of Bidder's total bid amount and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond The City reserves the right to cancel and/or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, when it is in the best interest of the City. A determination containing the reasons therefore shall be made part of the procurement file.
