Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Fresno, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The Project consists of a four story, approximately 82,200 gross square foot student housing facility. This project will be located west of the existing residence halls at the southwest corner of the main campus, in proximity to the Shaw and Cedar Avenue Intersection. This is the first new construction for Fresno State Housing since the late 1960s. This project will provide 228 apartment-style bed spaces which will help to meet the demand for affordable student housing. The project also includes units for students with children. Common spaces include meeting rooms, lounges, study spaces, recreation rooms, and laundry facilities. The building is currently being designed to be a Fully Sprinklered wood framed type V-A construction type with an R-2 / B Occupancy Group. Prevailing Wage: This project is a public works project and is subject to California State prevailing wage rate laws. All contractors and all tiers of subcontractors who will work on this project shall register to bid and work on public works projects with the Dept. of Industrial Relations (DIR) and maintain current this registration pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. Bidding: Plans, Specifications and any other pertinent bidding documents will be available electronically on the Building Connected website the week of July 15, 2024. Please email estimating@quiring.com or contact our Fresno Office (559) 432-2800 and request estimating to be added to the building connected solicitation for the project. Site is currently accessible to the public if you need to verify anything onsite. If you need access to anything that is not publicly accessible please request access from Quiring by end of day 7/26/24. DVBE Incentives: A DVBE bid incentive for bid evaluation purposes only is being provided to bidders that exceed 3% DVBE participation requirement. The level of DVBE incentive will correlate to the level of participation; that is, the more DVBE participation proposed the higher the incentive. The bid incentives are as follows: DVBE Participation Incentive 3.00% to 3.99% ------None 4.00% to 4.99%-------1% 5.00% to 5.99%-------2% 6% or More-------------3% The DVBE incentive is calculated as a percentage of the lowest responsive bid amount. If the lowest responsive bid amount was submitted by a California Certified Small Business, for bid evaluation purposes only, the only proposer eligible for the DVBE incentive will be the California certified Small Business. DIR Registration/Prevailing Wage: This project is a public works project and is subject to prevailing wage rate laws (Contract General Conditions, Article 4.02). All contractors and all tiers of subcontractors who will work on this project shall register to bid and work on public works projects with the Dept. of Industrial Relations and maintain current this registration pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
