The Town of Williston, Vermont, seeks qualified consultants to develop a comprehensive Recreation & Parks Master Plan. This plan will guide the Department's development, enhancement, sustainable management, programs, and indoor and outdoor recreation opportunities for the Community of Williston for the next 10-15 years. The Plan is being taken on at this time for a variety of reasons; 1. A scoping study was just completed for the needs and assessment of indoor recreation programs and facilities. The result is that a Recreation/Community Center is needed in the community. These results will be incorporated into the plan. 2. There is a need for the plan to address the needs and to assess outdoor recreation for the Town. This assessment is intended to be separate from Country Parks / Town Forest and Conservation Land projects. 3. The current Recreation Impact Fees Study sunsets in 2025 and will need to be re-written. The plan will help quantify the town's need for capital investments in Outdoor Recreation facilities. 4. After completion, the plan will help guide the Town on designs for improvement in the current Parks and building of future Parks. (this is not part of this RFP).
