As of September 13 project is cancelled. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (Authority) will receive responses from firms specializing in carpet replacement. The Authority retains the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, or cancel this procurement at any time. Demo and install date to start as early as November 25th, 2024, with full completion by December 31st, 2024. Each bid must be accompanied with a BID BOND in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid, payable to the Georgia World Congress Center Authority and issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, in order to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract to construct the project strictly within the terms and conditions stated in this bid and in the bidding and Contract Documents, should the construction contract be awarded to him. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance on the contract and a bond to secure payment of all claims for materials furnished and/or labor performed in performance of the project, both in amounts equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Both bonds shall be issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business with the State of Georgia. All bids submitted shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities.
