Design, Replacement, and Installation of 2 Jack Screw Assemblies and Drive Shafts including Couplers for Roller Gate 3 at the Rice Lake Wisconsin Dam Project Overview Barron County is seeking Proposals for the design, replacement, and installation of two jack screw assemblies and drive shafts including couplers, for Roller Gate 3 at the Rice Lake Wisconsin Dam. The jacks are used to operate a 10-ton Murco Roller Gate, which has a travel length of 4.9 feet. Further information is available in the attached "Rice Lake Dam Screw Jacks Scope" Scope of Work The selected contractor will be responsible for the following: 1. Design of the new jack screw assemblies and drive shafts, including couplers. 2. Fabrication and Replacement of the existing assemblies with the newly designed components. The new stem covers for the screws will be clear plastic. 3. Installation of the new assemblies and drive shafts ensuring full operational capability of the Roller Gate 3. This may require the installation and then removal of the 700lb steel stoplog assemblies that are on site. 4. Testing and commissioning of the new system to ensure proper function and reliability. Requirements - Project Cost - Provide a detailed cost breakdown for the complete project. - Experience - Submit references from similar past projects, especially those involving dam gates and heavy machinery. - Performance Bond & Certificate of Insurance.
