Phase I - Base Construction - (Gravel pad 174'' x 124') -
a. Town to excavate out buried pool
b. Backfill buried pool area with approximately 2200 cubic yards of bank run +/- 6" max
(approximately 2.5')
a. Rough Grade sub-base to bring sub-base to new 1 percent grade tolerances, Cutting and filling
as needed.
b. Supply and install approximately 300 linear feet of perimeter drainage with 4" perforated pipe,
stone and filter fabric.
c. Supply and install approximately 1000 linear feet of conduit for future lighting
d. Supply and install stabilization fabric. over graded sub-base (Mirafi 500x)
e. Haul, place and compact 1300 cubic yards (approximately 1.5') of bank run gravel and 430 cy
(approximately 6") of crushed bank run gravel.
f. Haul and place topsoil to disturbed areas, loam and seed.
Phase II - Court Construction -
a. Fine grade and compact newly installed crushed gravel.
b. Supply and install approx. 692 linear ft of 10 foot high ss-40 full black vinyl chainlink fencing
with new heavy-duty 1 3/4" x 8 gauge .105 core BLACK vinyl chainlink wire. This includes the
linear footage of the divider fencing between the tents courts & pickleball courts. Supply and
install approximately 53 linear ft of 6' high ss-40 full black vinyl chainlink fencing with new
heavy-duty 1 3/4" x 8 gauge .105 core BLACK vinyl chainlink wire to act as a divider between
the pickleball courts. Fence to have 3 gates.
c. Supply and install 2 new sets of Douglas Premier XS tennis net posts, 4 new sets of Douglas
Premier XS pickleball net posts, 2 new Tennis Nets with center straps and 2 new center anchors,
and 4 new Pickleball nets.
d. Pave area 170 x 120' area in two lifts, a total of 3" of asphalt
e. Total area of 2 Tennis Courts and 4 Pickleball Courts to receive 2 coats of SportMaster
Acrylic Rubberized Resurfacer.
e. Total area of 2 Tennis Courts and 4 Pickleball Courts to receive 2 coats of SportMaster
ColorPlus textured color coating system.
Color to be blue and dark green.
f. Apply 2 sets of regulation white textured tennis lines per USTA and 4 sets of white textured
pickleball line as per USAPB.
Phase III - Final Touches -
a. Gravel path to and from the court to the parking lot.
b. 2 ADA accessible parking spaces.
c. Inhalation of water line and water fountain.
d. Shade tree planting.
e. Bench(s) installation.
f. General landscaping. Work on the Veterans Park Tennis & Pickleball Courts Project will commence in the fall of 2024 with phase I, Phases II & III will commence and be completed on or before August 31, 2025, weather permitting.
