The East Civic Tower project consists of 360,000 SF, 17-story office, and public service tower atop one level of below-grade service basement. The building is a structural concrete frame with a mix of precast, curtainwall, and punched openings on the exterior. There are exterior terraces on levels 2, 3, and 4. The interior is fully built except for the office tower's four shell floors. The first three floors are public service including a new council chamber and will receive upgraded finishes and lighting. Sealed Bids will be received from prequalified subcontractors for the following packages: 07D Fireproofing Bidders must be prequalified and will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by the North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87, and the Instruction to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Furthermore, the Citys goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
