Site work and paving for a civil project in Kalama, Washington. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

Work performed under this contract consists of the following: Temporary traffic control, erosion control and water pollution prevention, clearing and grubbing, shoring, roadway excavation and structural fill, installation of storm drain pipe, culverts and inlets, removal of culverts and concrete box culvert, installation of steel structural plate arch culvert and three sided concrete box culvert and concrete footings, wingwalls and headwalls, temporary stream diversion, stream reconstruction, temporary water main, new water main and services, planing pavement, roadway paving, guardrail and associated work. At that time all bids will be publicly opened and read in the Public Works Administration Building Training Room. Cowlitz County accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addenda and thereby submit inadequate or incomplete responses. Cowlitz County will not provide paper copies of the Project bid documents for this project for bidding purposes. A copy of the plans and specifications may be reviewed at the office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Cowlitz County. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any immaterial irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding.
