The County of Fresno on behalf of the Department of Public Works and Planning - Resources is requesting quotations from qualified vendors to provide tree and shrub trimming services at American Avenue Disposal Site and Southeast Regional Disposal Site. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bids. Failure to respond to all questions or not to supply the requested information could result in rejection of your quotation. The successful bidders may be required to furnish a faithful performance bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The successful bidder shall pay for and include all federal, state and local taxes direct or indirect upon all materials; pay all fees for, and obtain all necessary permits and licenses, unless otherwise specified herein. Once awarded to the bidder, the completion period for the required tasks will be sixty (60) days from the Notice to Proceed from the County. The requested tasks will need to be completed during the dormancy period of the trees and shrubs, from November 1 to January 31. The County will allow thirty (30) days for completion at SERDS and thirty (30) days for the job at AADS. The contract between the County and the chosen Contractor will include a clause for liquidated damages of $500 per day for each calendar day over the specified times. If the liquidated damages clause is invoked, the sum of liquidated damages will be deducted from the total fee due the Contractor.
