Transit - Oriented Development Improvement Project The work includes the construction and/or replacement of concrete improvements due to existing damage and deficiencies, including sidewalks and curb ramps at various street intersections. The work also includes the construction of a new bus stop at Tucker Street and 3 rd Street within the City of Selma, County of Fresno, as shown on the plans and in the specifications. Also included, the supplying of all labor, equipment, tools, and materials required to make the work complete and operable, and also the following: 1) Contact Underground Service Alert (USA) to request locations of existing underground utilities. 2) Contact the City of Selma Public Works Department and inform them of the project schedule. 3) Contact the Selma Police Department and Selma Fire Department and inform them of the project schedule. 4) Place signs and barricades to control traffic in the areas of construction, and control dust. 5) Restore areas where the existing street surfacing or facilities are destroyed. 6) Cleanup of work area. The above is not all inclusive and the contractor is responsible for all other items shown on plans or listed in specifications. The exact locations of the work to be done shall be indicated by the Engineer with location stakes and the Contractor shall not do any work on this project without the stakes. A bid will not be considered unless it is made on the bid proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified cashier's check or bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Selma, for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. A Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount will be required by the City from the bidder to whom the contract is awarded within ten (10) days after notice of award of the contract.
